Update

March was an eventful month. The biggest thing was Zoe was hospitalized from a Thursday late morning to the following Tuesday late morning. On the Tuesday before Zoe was admitted to the hospital we took her to the ER because of her coughing, excessive phlegm, and chocking on the phlegm. She was diagnosed with RSV, a respiratory virus that because of her age is more serious than if she were older. We were given the option to admit her but declined because she was feeding well and had no fever. We were given some Albuteral to help with the breathing. The next Wednesday evening she developed a fever and it was harder for her to eat. We decided to take her to the local clinic the next day.
Thursday morning Joachim was in pre-school, Kari dropped Macrina off at her Godparents house, and took Zoe to the clinic. The clinic is owned by people who live down the street from us and attend our church. When Kari and Zoe arrived at the clinic Zoe's oxygen levels were very low, in the 70's and an ambulance was called to transport Kari and Zoe to the hospital. There Zoe was hooked up to oxygen in the ER. We were admitted and taken to the pediatric department. Eventually Zoe needed an IV because she was not getting enough fluids. After 24 hours of Zoe being off oxygen and an IV she was able to come home - that was Tuesday.

This is after Zoe came home. Joachim is feeding her some pedialite.

Macrina while we were at the hospital. Mom came up from Homer to watch them.

All three - Zoe is doing much better.

Star Wars

Yesterday we went to the Star Wars exibit at the Anchorage Museum. Joachim's Godfather, Peter, met us there. It was rather expensive but was fun. They had props, models, and costumes from all six movies. The Wookie costumes were huge - much bigger than I expected. Darth Vader's costume was also bigger than I expected. The only thing we did not do was ride the Millineum Falcon - it was a 90 minute wait! After looking at the Star Wars stuff I made Joachim and Macrina go look at the Alaska History section of the museum. It is basically the same exibit since I was a child but I still think it is really cool. We then went to eat lunch at IHOP. Here are some pictures.

Macrina with Princess Leai costuem from 'A New Hope' R2D2 and C3PO.
Macrina in with Darth Vader, I belive this was from 'A New Hope.' Joachim did not want his picture with Darth Vader.

Joachim and the Snow Monster from 'The Empire Strikes Back.' This was used in the new extended version of the movie.

Macrina

Kari, Zoe, Peter and Macrina walking down the stairs in the new section of the Museum.

Joachim checking out the different Light Sabers. Count Dooku's, Mace Windu's (the only purple light saber blade), Darth Maul's, Obi-Wan Kenobi's and Darth Sidious aka the Emperor, or Senator Palpatine's were some of the light sabers on display.

Macrina and Zoe. Zoe is not 9lbs 8oz. She is quite the little chunk. Its really hard to tell what color hair she has. It might be red.
